easily the tri-x. Gigabyte reused their windforce cooler from the GK110 and the shape of the processor contact base is not optimal for the shape of the 290x die, leading to sub-par cooling performance. In most cases, the tri-x cooler will be around 10*C cooler than the gigabyte in the same scenario.

The tri-x is probably the best aftermarket 290x at the moment. I don't even know if you can buy a gigabyte right now because they were recalled/halted production for faulty heatsink manufacture. Just get the Tri-x and be done with it. The sapphire is also a lot cooler than the Asus directCU2
