Having 3 or 4 GPU's in a vertical setup is freaking me out so I had to have an horizontal layout and at the time I bought the MM it was nearly my only option or go open air on a bench.

My S8 is replacing a MM Extended Ascension. If I need the extra RADs, I'll get a pedestal, but this has cable management which is completely lacking in the MM. You really had to do a lot of MODs to get halfway decent cable management and that was time I didn't have. I'll be breaking mine down and putting it up for sale. This will likely be the last case I buy for a good long while. I had hoped the MM would have been that case.

Quick question.

I ordered my S8 with the standard ATX Tray.....let's say that i might switch for an EATX board (10.4").....I saw on the website that we can already order replacement parts for the S8. The choice for motherboard tray is there but no place to state if I want the standard or the EATX one.

What would be the procedure? And also will the stealth plate come with the tray??

As I said, i'm not yet decided but I want to know how to proceed if I go this way.

Thanks;)

Like the STH10 (which became our #1 case at the time), I didn't think there was much reason for it, so my role in the marketing decisions has changed - if I don't really see the point of it - THAT's the one we're going to do redface.gif Frankly, one of the factors that went into is was that we didn't have a direct competitor to MM's U2-UFO and we've had many requests for it. While we don't design cases to specifically target other other company's products, extending the Mercury line to ATX wasn't really a stretch, so it made sense in this case. I have been asked about a 10 slot version and I will say that that is very unlikely because it would involve a significant redesign and I'd rather see something like that show up in Gemini (and that's all I'll say about that for now wink.gif ).
Ah yes. What I meant was that I think the S8 will sell more than all your other cases combined. I forgot a word, heh.

I think it's great that you guys are working on improving everything you can, even though you have a lot of different models now. I like it. Hopefully you can give every customer the case of their dreams, and not just the same case for every customer! You are doing extremely well! Keep up the great work!

Edit:by the way, you should focus a bit more on 140mm fans! More than just a bracket that fits both 120 and 140!

I don't really see Mountain Mods as a competitor either. Maybe in the states but they have no chance in Sweden. Their cases are pretty... How should I put this and not be rude at the same time... Your cases are tasteful, that's all I'm going to say.

And guys, most graphic cards won't bend and all with water cooling. Especially when a bridge is between them! Still, this case solves a lot of problems. And makes the build look good from angles you can't get in tower based cases.

You're the best!!!! thumbsupsmiley.png

I totally forgot that on those larger boards the far right standoff holes aren't on the edge of the motherboard like the ATX are. doh.gif

Thanks and +REP on this one!

I had same exact question, so I asked Kevin from CL. Here's his response:

"The MB trays will not include the SSD mount. I will have more of the parts on the site (including this one) by this afternoon. I missed the SSI-EEB tray, but it is in the options now, and yes, there are screw holes for mounting. It is a drop-in item, an no modifications are need to go from ATX to SSI-EEB."

Wait am I reading these last few posts wrong?
I was told by them that the stealth bay comes with the Mercury S8, nothing extra I need to buy.
Can somebody confirm this?
The motherboard tray you get with your S8 order does contain the Stealth bay. We are talking about buying the motherboard tray as an upgrade/replacement.
