CaseLabs announces the Mercury S8! - Page 163

Can someone give me a low down on the water cooling support.

From what I gather

240mm in the left front where a window can optionally be added
2x360mm on the top if you opt for the proper drop in's
360 on a side mount in the bottom chamber if you opt for it

can the flex bays fit a 360 rad and fan controller?

Really looking at this for gunmetal. I probably would prefer the grey but my current build and sleeving would look great in something gunmetal/grey once I get the case to watercool and I'm not really enjoying this case for watercooling seems to restricted once i add my second gpu.

Looks like you've got everything right!

The flexbay can fit a 360mm but not at the same time as having a 360mm up top on that side. I'm pretty sure a 360 also takes up all of the flex bay slots regardless though, so I don't see a fan controller fitting there with the rad. However, a 240mm or even a 280mm can work simultaneously with a rad up top and a fan controller (with the 240 at least).

There's also the option of adding a pedestal which can hold 2 more 360s.

A few notes:
- the front 240mm (as well as flex-bay mounted 360mm) will not fit if there are top mounted radiators
- I think some people have commented that you can readily fit 3x360mm radiators (two in the top, one in the HDD bay) plus a 240mm flex-bay mounted radiator
- If the gaps are the same as in the S5, there is usually room for an Aquaero to fit in the top flex-bay while having a radiator in the top

I don't think you'll have a problem with performance, if that's what you mean. I run my 2600K and three unlocked 290's on one RX360 and one Blackice Extreme 240 with temps no higher than 60c at the extreme.

If you mean flow restricted you won't have any problems. If you are concerned about it you should just use parallell fittings/bridge for the GPU blocks.

The case is quite big on the inside.

Well, please visit when you receive it and let us know what you think. To date, I haven't really heard anyone say anything negative about our products, which means we're doing something right, but more input from end users is never a bad thing!
