I5 4670k I need higher physics score in 3dmark11

Hello.

i used to score 8600 physics on 3dmark11 (see pictures below to see my score now) with my overclocked 4670k (which is a really bad overclocker btw) Ive heard you are supposed to score higher than this using the 4670k at my overclock.

Yesterday i had to default my bios settings, and i needed to put my overclock back and stuff, but now i score lower on 3dmark.
so i wounder if i missed something or what could be the reason. I probably dont remember my settings.
I want my score back because i also see slight performance drop when loading the cpu.

I am not a skilled person at this, im more like a casual gamer and do know basics of overclocking the easy way.
And remember, i always used the 4.2ghz clock at all my tests. My bad overclocker wanted 1.285v to stay stable.

My rig are:

Mobo: Msi z87 G45 Game (bios 1.6)
Ram: Vengeance Red 1600mhz 7.8.8 4x4 (16gb)
Cpu: I5 4670k @ 4.2ghz
Psu: Corsair 750M
Vga: R9 290 (non-x) Oc'd 1145 on prolimatech Air.

here is some pictures. Maybe the good guys may figure it out for me as im trying to provide as much information as possible.
Thanks alot for now.

Also, after reading online, i found someone talking about ''Quad-mode'' for the rams, it should increase the score, but i dont know if i can do this?
I do belive my cpu is a bad overclocker. (my Gpu was a monster tho) However i only know the very basics of overclocking and i experienced bluescreen and was not able to boot windows when i lowered my voltages anything under 1.27v. I do not know if these cpus need other bios settings to be played with aswell?

That is some nice documentation.

The Problem is also a bit weird. I would recommend to run some other tests and benchmarks. Did you run Cinebench 11.5 or 15 for example? Do you have consistent scores in this benchmark? Do you see any other problems in games etc?

The thing what is really confusing to me in your pictures is that cpu - z shows only a Link - Width from x1 instead of x16. It seems like an error from cpu-z but if not there is something wrong.

You could also try to reset your bios again. Test your setup at stock. Adjust your bios again.

Im not very famililar with Haswell Overclocking but there are indeed some bad overclockers like yours out. But I think here are other people that can help you with that one better. You can find also some really nice guides on ocn for overclocking.

This Guide from sin is for Gigabyte Mainboards which could help you.
