should I upgrade from my i7 3770 at tax time? - Page 2

if you;re not going to overclock then there is no point at all. that 3770 is just as fast as a 3770k.

if you don't overclock but have lots of cash my temptation is to point you at a fx9550 system. it already runs almost as fast as it can, and will give you the most raw non overclocked performance. it will be faster than the 3770, though not by much.

kool i will wait on those but has a price point been talked about? I am not a fan of buying $500+ video cards. I am more of a 250-350ish range guy.

I am going to start buy changing the case first, then maybe the PSU buyt according to Phaedrus thread the OEM tr2 (303666) are "actually pretty good" but I may change it anyways and then sell it. then ill sell the 660 ti and use that profit towards a new gpu

after talking to a few people I feel the i7 3770 even tho it cant be OCed will still last for sometime as a gaming CPU so I might as well use it.
