help with adobe after effects

so im using adobe after effects and its trottling my ram so god damn much. the windows notification comes up saying im low on memory and i cant even run a you tube tut full screen. i have a 3570k and 8gb of g.skill ripjaws 1600 can someone give me some settings to go off of please?

It probably has to do with the RAM preview settings.

alright. il look there. i actually ended up using all my ram and screen went black till i alt-f4ed out of after effects. its using all my ram even when im not doing ram-preview or rendering
