got router still need firewall programs

hello, i recently bought a wireless router, and just want to make sure this.
if i install the router, i dont need a firewall program right ? (i got zonealarm atm)
since thats wat routers are for ?
correct me if iam wrong.

Many routers have built in firewalls.
I know Lynksys does, you just have to go into their options to configure it.
Look over the driver cd read me files good.
ZoneAlarm is a good backup though.

Only if it's a NAT router, otherwise you still need a software firewall. You also might want to keep it to monitor outgoing connections.

Network address translation; if it doesn't support NAT, then it would be more like a switch, meaning you would still need the software firewall.
