Need help with speaker box design.. DA ND91

Use: Sigrig for music, movies, and gaming. Primary focus is music. I listen to a bit of everything.... metal -> 50s/60s/70s -> rap -> classical...
Why: Because. : ) Just a fun little project to deviate from school and work and to keep me busy.

Phase 1: Find drivers and design an enclosure for satellites - sub is covered.

Drivers: I went with Dayton Audio ND91s... 4ohm, 3 1/2" full range.
https://www.parts-express.com/dayton-audio-nd91-4-3-1-2-aluminum-cone-full-range-driver-4-ohm--290-224

Enclosure: Help here is appreciated. Ideally these would go in a tower shaped box. I could easily make a sealed box, however, I'd like to do a slotted or L-shaped ported box.

The size and shape of a speaker enclosure will GREATLY effect the sound quality of the speaker(s) inside it.
Every speaker has an "ideal" enclosure volume and dimension. The further you stray from this "ideal" the worse the speaker(s) will sound.

I would strongly reccomend visiting some of the speaker DYI websites and getting some basic ideas on how enclosurs work and how they are designed and constructed.

Speaker creation is a fascinating endeavor. Lots to learn and try. Good luck!

Yup, i know the volume affects the output. Shape I haven't gotten too great of answers other than ideals (sphere). I'll probably end up just doing a tower/rectangular box for simplicity.
What about these drivers? I think I'll stick with a single driver for now.

Or any other suggestions?

Bump. I went with Dayton Audio ND91s.. they cover a good chunk of the spectrum. thumb.gif Now to design a box... PE says only .03 cu ft. I'd like to do a tall slotted box. Any help? WinISD is mainly for subs I think, so I'm not sure exactly what to do with full range speakers.

EDIT: Project completed a few days ago.
