About 2-3 years ago I bought my parents a Compaq Presario CQ62 with Windows 7 x64 and it's worked perfectly for them until the last few months. When resuming from sleep, the laptop takes an unnecessarily long time to recognize the network (background programs have been cleared) and when it does, typically it says it can't access the gateway. I haven't had a problem with other devices (wired desktops, Xbox 360, phones, tablets, etc.) so I'm assuming it's the laptop itself. I've updated the drivers and it's still doing the same thing. At this point I'd just like to know if it's the laptop or my router acting up (router is a Comcast TG862G).

Appreciate any help or ideas! thumb.gif
