I have a process in the background on Windows 7 that I want to leave running, but at random times it takes the entire disk queue causing other programs and internet browsing to run slow. Is there any way to limit how much a certain process can read from or write to the disk without getting too technical? For example if the process in question is writing 112,541,324 B/sec, how do I tell it not to do more than 50K/sec?
