pump is working. he said cpu temps are around 50c. they would reach the same as the gpu if it was off (speaking from experience (thanks corsair!) )

Should I use thermal paste or pads on the 12 chips around the gpu die? Would it make any difference?

reseated block, applied new thermal compound, made sure all the pads were on the vrms
idle is now at 30c, but in furm,ark it's still 80c..

yeah furmark is atleast 30c above anything else so gaming load should be around 40c. but you did fix the problem.
