Is my GTX 780 Lightning being bottlenecked?

Keep in mind - I intend on purchasing a 4770k I just want to make sure I don't have a defective card or something..

I have a Xeon W3530 @ 2.80Ghz, and it seems I benchmark considerably lower than most. In firestrike I scored 8496

Is this likely due to the less than optimal processor?

Just hoping for some peace of mind rolleyes.gif

Thanks!

yes it is bottlenecked but that will stop once you get the 4770k

Are you running Firestrike or Firestrike extreme?

And disregard the overall score. What is your GPU score?

And I'd assume just regular firestrike. Whatever the free one is.

Ok, so regular Firestrike.

What clock is the Lightning running at? Stock is probably 1150 mhz or so?

If you were to leave gpu-z open and monitor your clock speed, you'll be faster than the 1032 mhz guaranteed.

As you can by the chart below, your gpu score is right around what it should be.

A stock 780 scores 9471.

A 4770k will most certainly increase your score but the card is working fine.

CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0 (using IJG JPEG v80), quality = 90
