I think this thread would be two thirds the size it's become if the 7850K was priced $40 less. This has become more of a battle of the bang for buck than actually props for for what it is. Hopefully that made sense.

Does it play in low or medium?

I've tried a few games with it. The most taxing would be Black ops 2 @ 1080p multiplayer gets 60 fps 95% of the time and Borderlands 2 gets 25+ fps @ 1080p (not to great). I've played a few others not worth mentioning. Still, I wasn't expecting that at all.

My thinking has been you could get a low end intel cpu and dedicated gpu for the same price as this, but i guess that's not really fair as you could get a low end apu or fx cpu and dedicated gpu as well if that's what your after. At the end of the day I really don't know where this fits in is all. FTR here's a 4670k igpu vs a10 7850k apu, not sure if already posted. Basically 4670k= 16fps in bf4, 7850k= 46fps. Not to shabby.

He overclocked it. We already know that Kaveri has more IPC than FX. But the reviews didn't show the full result of that because none of them bothered to include overclocked performance into the review. All they said was that Kaveri has more IPC but it's offset by lower clocks. So it makes perfect sense that Kaveri has higher single threaded performance capability than FX as he indicated.

Seems good as I'd be mostly playing at a resolution below 1080p. I think there will be 10-15 FPS more at 720p?

I still don't think we have all teh info on crossfire and these.

People keep talking about buying a cheap i3 or cheap fx and pairing them with a cheap GPU like the R7 240 and getting the exact same performance as the A10-7850k! BUT why can't you say the person that went the 7850K route also buys another video card and crossfires them for even better "Bang for your buck"!

7850k build will still cost more money.
