Do we know for sure that the A10-7850k performs worse than the cheapest i3(4130)?

The A10 7850k loses to an Pentium Dual Core, at least in gaming

Avg performance from Pclabs

Absolutely. And an Atom Bay Trail totally destroys an A10, too.

Let me re-clarify my previous statement

An Haswell Pentium with a 7750 GDDR5 was shown to beat an 7850k with fast DDR3 ram (can't find it at the moment). Paired with the 7750 GDDR5 only (dgpu) though, the 7850k should beat out the Pentium

Thread Starter
Does it really matter if a pentium is significantly worse than Kaveri?

The 7850K faces much stronger competition from chips like 760K when they're coupled with something like a 7790. The new Athlon chips really make Kaveri look bad unless you're specifically looking to buy a system without a discrete GPU.

The A8-7600 argument also falls somewhat flat on its face when you can almost get a 6800K for the price of the 7600 that isn't even out yet.

And mobile kaveri isn't going to be here for a while either so the power consumption argument will have to wait some months.

As far as your Anandtech "benchmarks", again reading comprehension goes a long way...
Either way, your mindless ramblings are becoming tiresome, Good day.
You seem to be to busy defending your own "points" I stated 384 for the A8-7600 and you could just look up the shader count for the R7 240 what is your deal you think it is somehow different than the AMD slides suggest just because it is a 384 part. Actually is should be better as the gpus are more evenly matched to one another.

Not AMD's naming so how am I wrong we didn't know Bonair was a refined arch for sure until AMD confirmed it they however never named it.
Not a reading comprehension at all I stated in various posts that they were by AMD.

Can't handle that the R7 240 + A8-7600 are very likely to match or beat a rig with a 7770 according to AMD?

Not even a contest really. Let's not forget that hybrid crossfire doesn't always work correctly, some titles are not supported either.
Yeah I'm talking A8-7600 I just needed that AMD picture so I could give an indication of the gains that hybrid CF could bring.
120 + 70 is significantly less and anyone in their right mind would take the quad core Kaveri over the i3 since multitasking on an i3 actually doesn't go that well when you clog the cores even though the overal performance is not far apart. (in floating point using applications)

I agree hybrid CF has to prove itself on all fronts just saying that this route seems to be the best way to cheap performance and it would be ludicrous if AMD didn't exploit it this time around now they actually have the new tech in Kaveri.
