The Titan is affected by AA as much as the 780Ti, you're getting 62.7% of the performance with AA on. So the question is, does 6GB Vs 3GB matter at 4K? or is this another instance of BF4 being poorly coded/designed?

Sure, if there ends up being another 12.11 driver.

But there won't be. 12.11 happened because GCN was new at the time and for whatever reason, the driver team took almost a year to figure it out.

One can only imagine how much market share AMD would have been able to claw back if the 680 didn't eat the 7970's lunch on release.

If somehow the 290/290x series has up to 10% performance not currently found, the entire driver team should be fired because with that extra performance, the 780 Ti launch would have had no impact.

you look at the 1080p results and it tells you one card still scrapes it - so 2560 does need 2 cards redface.gif

If you were to use vsnc ? biggrin.gif

4 X AA = 4 MSAA ?
so 6gb is too much and 3gb is too little.

That 'l be 4.5GB needed then Sir ... but lets call it 4 and move on ..

If it only had 12gb I could run my 3x 4K surround setup better....

When they have an affordable 4k/120+ Hz/IPS monitor is when I'll make the switch. By that time I probably would have already upgraded from 3gb vram.

well for all those wondering the 790 specs have been leaked already
Cuda Cores: 2496 (x2)
Memory: 5Gb GDDR5 (x2)
Mem Bus: 320 Bit (x2)
Core: GK110 (x2)

http://wccftech.com/details-nvidia-geforce-gtx-790-finally-surface-4992-cuda-cores-10-gb-memory-5/

and yes once again 5gigs vram will bottle neck, adding another gpu just add more vram,if you have 3 780tis like these yes 12gigs vram in total but 3 useable. Its evident now how important vram and memory buss are cause along the years nvidia has been striving to gpus are all about being power efficient.

I personally feel if you planing on doing 4k + gaming wait for the 8xx nvidia needs to play abit more around with that res once its on the consumer market.I don't see amd planing anything for 4k yet cause they assume 4k would just run fine on their current cards?they do have a full Hawaii chip so we probably going to see r2 300x.

This card is impressive though but its not really going to be a gamers card and not really a extream overclocking card

but there is one still in development, bellow is a link for one of the best pro overclockers, getting his hands dirty with a kingpin...vivi (South Africa representing)

by the time 4k 120 hz becomes available, we'll be on the 900 or 1000 nvidia series
