Random Hang Issue

Thread Starter
Hi,

I need help regarding a random hang/freeze problem i am facing in my system for some time now.

The system just hangs randomly no matter what i am doing, in most cases i am doing my office work or browsing the internet when system simply freezes, nothing works, I always have to hard reset the system.

Troubleshooting Done :

GFX Card Replaced From GTX 590 To GTX 780Ti : Still The Random Freeze Happens
SSD Replaced - Upgraded to Samsung 840 Pro: Still The Random Freeze Happens
Completely Formatted and Installed New Windows : Still The Random Freeze Happens

I have also Ran Heavy Stress Tests on the Processor & Ram : Everything is perfectly fine, No error or crash, Everything is perfectly stable. I even overclocked the processor by 800Mhz and ran the stress tests again, still everything was ok.

I played Crysis 3 & Battlefield 4 @ max Settings as well as ran 3D mark 11 Twice : Everything Worked Flawlessly.

Moreover i never get any blue screen when the freeze happens, neither do i get a "System has recovered from a serious error popup upon Restart ". I checked the event log - there is nothing in it and there are no dump files as well because i ain't getting any BSOD's.

I have also disassembled, Cleaned and reassembled my system, Bios Is updated, All Drivers are latest. There are no virus's in the system. Temperatures are under Perfect control. I even did the Outside wire management in case there was any earthing which was causing this.

Even after all this, i still get the random freeze, once or twice in 4-5 Hrs. Any Help would be appreciated.

One Last Thing - 1 Have a Philips 5.1 Speakers (100RMS Home Theatre ) connected to the system. The woofer has a heavy magnet and is located about 3-4 Feet away from the CPU. I have had these speakers for over 6 years now, can they be causing any interference now?

Please Help.

Are you using an offset voltage? Or, are you using the Manual voltage?

I never changed the voltages manually..it was always offset.
never required for a 800mhz overclock.

This is why you had the lock-ups. What was your Load-Line Calibration setting?

But i am still getting the lockups, even tho everything is set to auto, no overclocking and all.
and i don't keep the overclock regular 24/7, i keep it for a 3-4 days for some benchies or a particular game and then set it to auto again once i m done.
load line calibration setting has always been auto.

Such random occurrences sound software rather than hardware based, reinstall windows and see whether that helps.

Try Windows 8.1 instead?
