Currently building a computer slowly but surely. I think RAM will be next.
With me having the Corsair Air 540 with the Window, and with it being sat on the desk I'm trying to make it look half decent.
So I've decided on have white 'highlights'. Which has left me with little options with RAM.
I prefer the look of the Corsair and think it will fit in beter, but I don't want to sacrifice performance for looks too much, and considering how bright the LED is on the Avexir (from pictures of builds online) it's close enough.

Corsair Memory Vengeance LP Arctic White

So, this is 1600Mhz memory, with CAS 9-9-9-24 timings. It's a 2x4GB kit, so I'd buy two. Which would cost £141.12 in total. Or $231.92.

Avexir Core White series

So, this is 2400Mhz memory, with CAS 10-12-12-31 timings. It's a 4x4GB kit, so I'd buy one. Which would cost £179.99 in total. Or $295.80.

I always read about diminishing returns with RAM speed, as the latency tends to increase when the speed does. Which confuses me a little.
I was also under the impression it made next to no increase in performance for gaming, until recently reading an article relating to Battlefield 4.
I'm a little wary about Avexir RAM too, I've not heard a lot about them until about six months ago, but I've started seeing them a lot in builds.
Aside from gaming, I don't think I'd see much of a benefit from speed vs latency at all, the only thing I can think of is I do rip Blu Rays to .m2ts files, with no encoding. So I doubt that'd make a difference.
Oh, and the build has the 4770K.

Final question, I currently have a set of 1600Mhz Vengeance RAM in my current build (2x4GB) that I intend to throw in my server. The server has 1600Mhz Vengeance LP RAM (2x4GB) in it already. Both with 9-9-9-24 latency. I know you'd normally recommend a quad channel kit of the same RAM. But, isn't this literally the same RAM with different heat spreaders? Links to the RAM: Vengeance LP and Vengeance.

I would get the Avexir as I have been ready and see real good things about this ram and I know that Corsair ram is over priced for the most part..

I really believe you will be able to get see $60 difference in the ram...

Yeah, I do think the Corsair RAM is a little expensive.
How much of a difference would 2400Mhz make in gaming?

I can not tell you exactly this?? Sorry, I know they might not match your color but Gskill is the memory I always use. You can always paint the heat sinks on the Gskills and it is better price and value at least here in the States...
