If I want to test my fans...

Thread Starter
I just did some sleeving on my fans. Moreover, I cut the wire on the fans to correct size, re-pinned them, sleeved them and reinstalled the 3 pin connector. I am a bit worried that I may have melted the wires a bit while shrinking the heat shrink on the sleeve. Is there a way I can test the fans before hooking them up to a full system.

I would hook them up to my current rig, but I don't want to run the risk of shorting out my rig.

12v brick with 3 pin fan header is what i use:

just make sure you use a brick that can supply the amount of amps the fan requires or you risk overloading the brick.
