I have a question about the voltage switches on the back of the card. If I turn both switches to ON, which should add +50mV, will that lock the voltage to 1.187V max?? This is with the stock BIOS, of course. I ask because I have both switches to ON, and the max voltage I'm getting is 1.187V when benching. Even if I increase voltage to +75 with Precision, the voltage still remains at 1.187V. I know these cards can normally overvolt to 1.20V with the stock BIOS, why won't this one? Am I missing something?

With both switches to "ON", ~1.29 - 1.3v real under load with a DMM, with +75 in AB or precision, it's ~1.34 - 1.35v real under load. Still idles down to 0.97v when it down clocks.

No software tells the real voltage, need a DMM.

finally just broke 1700 core clock. I just hit 1711core. My new high core clock. the score looks a little low because this is at stock memory. i can't overclock it at all.

I understand that no software will tell *true* voltage, but it should at least show some kind of change. I just received this KPE after having a regular Ti Classified, and GPU-Z showed voltage changes all the way up to 1.5V with the previous Classified. This is actually my second KPE because I very foolishly sold the first one, and even that one had no problem reporting varying voltages all the way up to 1.20V, again, with the stock BIOS.

What I'm not understanding is no matter what I do the voltage isn't changing. I've tried both the Normal and LN2 BIOS's, and it does the exact same thing. I've put all switches back to default, and no change.

Way to go Strong Island thumb.gif Looks like you are figuring things out pretty quick and for 1700mhz with first time with LN2 things are looking promising for you in the future. How are you keeping the memory warm or from bugging out on you? Also what dmm load volts have you pumped into her for the 1700+mhz?

Ill look out for you on top the charts here in the benches session rolleyes.gif lol
