thanks a lot guys for all the responses. Insulating the memory was the key. When I see kingpins older insulating guides the memory is a lot further away from the core. With this card the memory is so close that the gasket becomes really skinny and nail polish wasn't enough insulation. The first night I couldn't get past -40c. Last night I was benching at -180c. The PLL circuitry kept freezing though and I had to warm the pcb a little to bring it back. I am definitely bitten by the bug. That was so much fun I can't stop thinking about it. I lost a lot of good pics because I was posting here and some of the frost melted. Here are some pics I did get. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

I also want to say that 1850core clock was the real acheivment because I don't think my top score is correct on the 3dmark leaderboard. There were some runs I did which gave really weird artifacts and actually gave me a way higher score. But the 1850core run was my high score and didn't artifact at all so that was legit. I think I'm about number 6 or 7.

I have definitely have the bug now. I cant stop thinking about it. When me and ghost dog get together with a cpu pot also and my 4930k it could be a lot of fun. The welding place is about 7 miles from my house. They have so many huge tanks of ln2. they are awesome guys.

The highest I went was 1.6 load voltage. this card definitely feels completely unlocked. It was a beast. I could probably push it harder but I ran out of ln2. The only thing was I lost any overclock I was able to get on the memory under ln2. Every run was completely stock memory speeds. Next time i will try and insulate the memory even better. For a first time it was an amazing experience. After the first night it kept crashing at -40c I almost gave up. I am so happy I did it the second night because it was a blast. The first night was like DICE temps. The last 2 pics are what the card looked like after I pulled the pot off and the last pic is after a quick wipe with a shop towel. not bad at all.

You look like what I thought you might look like, I friendly fella thumb.gif

Thanks again for sharing this information with us and allowing us to learn too smile.gif

You'll have to check out hwbot & start getting some submissions in.

Congrats!
This too, my Titan has been at the top for a long time, you could fix that tongue.gif

I am so mad I didn't have enough ln2 to do some more valley runs. Even at stock memory I know 1800core would have broken 100fps. Since I had limited ln2 I figured I would get the best 3dmark results I could get. I will do better screenshots for hwbot next time. I think I still did some things wrong and may be able to squeeze some more out of the card.

I want to say thank you for all your advice. You helped me so much the night I was prepping and i really appreciate it.

I just saw that too! Congrats man, and I look forward to when you get the CPU pot and memory overclocks done soon. I think a twitch live stream is mandatory this time though tongue.gif

I might sell off some of my acryllic loop stuff that I bought and buy a cpu pot and try again this weekend. I really want to wait for ghost dog though. But now that I have all the supplies and everything setup it wont be so much work next time.

The 170L tank with delivery spout will help a lot. it wasn't easy pouring from 25L dewars by myself into thermos's.

+1 to that as well, when you compare Strong score and 8Pack one, damn! with a physics score jumping to 20k+, KingPin score is at your reach! biggrin.gif

Nice avatar smile.gif

I would do the same, I would imagine a simple soft tubing route would save you enough to buy a CPU pot and have enough to spare for the dewars and LN2. But even if you sell off the acrylic loop by tonight, you would not have the money from the sale to buy the CPU pot and have it delivered by this weekend. I really am not one to say anything but I would advice you to take things a little slow the next 2 days and contemplate over what happened and what needs to be done before taking any decisions. I really think you can top the HOF soon and just have everything ready for HWBot submissions- single and 2-way scores for as many benches as they recognize for points. All the best, I am excited just seeing your results and photos!
