im tryin to figure out how 125mhz on the mem can make such a big different in firestrike/extreme when on the regular classy it felt like a 100mhz bump gave me maybe 20 points at most lol.

on 3888 bios anyone know what 1351 boosts to? can only get to 1351 / 1360ish on the 3888 bios before it craps out on me. can only get about 1950 to 1975 memory also.
edit - messing around with the settings a bit more and on skyn3t bios this time i managed to get to around here on water

about 310 points less than my regular 780ti classy =\ wonder whats up with that lol.
Oh well, this card will be freezing today.

that's a pretty good score bud. If you still have the Ti Classy, compare them in the same rig. One thing for sure... sometimes it can be very difficult (or impossible) to even repeat one's top score even with the same card - on the same day!

on the regular ti classy i was always within 10 points of my top score no matter what i did, but on this kingpin it seems even the slightest change throws the score off by 50 points or so. Im trying to figure out why 125mhz on the mem would make a 300 point difference when the core is roughly 50mhz higher. Confusing stuff, but i have been awake for about 30 hours now lol, im probably not thinking correctly. Just took some shots of the watercooling rig and its new loop before i break it down to take the mobo tray out for sub zero benching lol, ill post em soon, theyre uploading now with my awful swamp internet, they should be done sometime next year.

i tried the stock ln2 bios, i tried the XOC bios, i tried the 3888 bios, i tried skyn3t bios lol, all results are about the same except the XOC bios. The XOC bios the core goes the same as all the others but my memory maxes out at about +300 and thats with high voltage on the memory with a super ghetto heatsink on the mem vrms lol.

3888 / skyn3t bios lets me get to about 2010 - 2020 memory clocks, but not much higher without needing stupid high voltage for water/air on that part of the card.

on skyn3t bios my core is hitting about 1475 to 1480 depending on the specific voltages i give it. on the 3888 bios it was around 1351 core, or whatever that boosts to, i couldnt get anything to give me an accurate reading.

still a decent score i guess for water, its just frustrating to not be able to catch a previous personal best tongue.gif

how many volts are you giving the mem? mine was getting into the danger zone for how i had the cooling set up on the memory vrms, my ghetto rigged heatsink i pulled off an old socket 775 motherboard wasnt making good contact lol.

I am just using the EK block and Fujipoly pads on the memory itself, nothing else other than case fans on the card. I have tried all the way from 1.6 to 1.8v and any higher than +175 would lead to a driver crash. Where are you using that heatsink?

and thats on the loose timing bios? if so then wow...that kinda...sucks lol. Get some of the enzotech copper heatsinks on them and crank the volts up tongue.gif I was contemplating soldering some old pennies together and lapping them down to make a ultra ghetto heatsink for the memory vrms but i found an old asus 775 board i havent used in years instead lol, saved me lots of time and probably a huge embarassment if pics ever got out.

Tell me about it! Unless I am doing something very wrong, I have the worst Samsung memory ever produced on my cards. It's like a cruel joke where Nvidia gave my cards two of the best GK110 cores and then this thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif
