My question is simply, is there anyone running the XOC bios and successfully using the Classy voltage tool v2.0.4.3. If so, then I know it's not a compatibility issue between the tool and the bios, and I'll work on figuring it out.

Check that out. Looks like some people have an issue with that driver and the Classy tool. Might be as simple as uninstalling and reinstalling the driver again.

I don't think I've ever experienced that kind of weather either in New Brunswick (lived there for 28 years) or here in Ontario.
My monitor started to act funny at -20C, can just imagine what it would do in Edmonton tonight...hehe.

I didnt notice any improvement in clocks for both the gpu and cpu this time even if i added another 6x120mm rad space and temps were 5C colder than my last bench session.
I currently have my pc on the back corner deck of the house and we are surrounded by houses.
Also noticed The 50/50 mix of antifreeze is much denser and slower to pass through the loop compared to swiftech Hydrx-PM.
It doesnt seem to transfer heat as effentiently compared to Hydrx-PM.

I noticed that prestone at ambient no load was about 5C warmer than Hydrx-PM at ambient no load for both the cpu and gpu.

That's why I use a 50/50 mix of alcohol and distilled water. You get even better flow than straight water as the mix is thinner that water.

Hi, I'm building my first desktop computer, finally done with these damn laptops/consoles! I want the Kingpin but was wondering if it's just a waste of money for me, seeing how I'm not going to water cool it. I plan to just overclock whatever card I get on air. I can afford any card just don't want to waste my money, would I get basically the same results with a reference 780 ti? My current parts, Corsair AX860i, Asus Maximus VI Hero, Corsair Dominator Platinum 16gb 1866, Intel i7 4770k, Samsung 840 Evo 500GB SSD, WD Black 2tb HDD, Corsair H100i, and the Corsair K70. Waiting on the Phanteks Enthoo Primo (white), and the Asus ROG Swift PG278Q 27-inch WQHD G-Sync Gaming Monitor, both should be released in March. Any other thoughts or comments on my build would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! thumb.gif

Do you use 99% isopropyl alcohol?

Things like that make me wonder if I am doing something wrong here, for the life of me I can't go past 1150ish watts from the wall with 2 cards at 1.5v core

Go with a nice aftermarket cooled 780 Ti, if the Classified is in a similar price range as other such cards then go for it. The KPE will really not be the best bang of your buck on air.

Check that out. Looks like some people have an issue with that driver and the Classy tool. Might be as simple as uninstalling and reinstalling the driver again.

Okay, I got it figured out. I didn't realize that the original Kingpin XOC bios had to be modded to make the Classy tool work. I got the bios from Kingpin's forum, not this one, so when I started investigating the different versions of the Classy tool, I saw that the XOC bios was available from here that had been modded to make the voltage tool work, and it most certainly does now. Thanks for the help buddy. Now on to see what this baby can do.....hopefully after getting two Kingpin fails this one will actually overclock higher than 1400.
