Yes I know you can.. But you are missing the point.. This was designed for the enthusiast market, it should not be that difficult to do... Other then that and the magnetic filters that were not even strong enough to hold the filters in place, and I actually received a second set from corsair, which did the same thing BTW, I actually liked the case and was disappointed that more thought was not put into the case...

So I just got to playing with my new kingpin 780 ti. ASIC is high compared to most ive seen. 74.9%.

Currently using stock volts which is about 1.3 load volts. So far boost to 1305 is no problem. My question is about the stock ln2 bios. Is EVGA shipping the kingpin card with an LN2 loose timing bios? So far stock memory volts and Ive ran valley and firestrike at 7600mhz.

I'm not missing the point matey, and I agree the case has not been designed with enough thought into larger cards.
It's a complete pain in the back side to get the lower second screw in, the first is easy however.

The magnetic filters are known to be an issue. It also does not help that they ship directly from the factory fitted the wrong way (well on mine and others I've seen)

They glue the fabric filter to the magnetic strip. As you know from owning one, only one side of the filter has direct contact.

Flip it over so the magnetic strip sticks directly to the case door and it's a slight improment.
I wonder how many overlook this when putting the filter back on.

Mine does the job, but again I agree they need to be stronger.

I think they may be shipping the card with loose memory timing bios now or something is different. I just flashed to skyn3ts bios with no boost and its suppose to be loose memory timing but I can no longer run the same memory clocks in valley. Scores are good though and just seems maybe different timings. Just barely getting used to the card and only on air til I figure it out some and mount the gpu pot. thumb.gif

If you had ever tried to mount a KPE in this case you wouldn't say so.
There's no possible way to get to the mounting holes in a 900D.
I've had a little trouble with other cards in this case but did get them properly mounted.
Absolutely nothing like the KPE's I have, though.
I'm guessing it'll be okay with water blocks mounted to get to those screws, but not with the air cooler in place.
Not unless you have fingers like the arms of a baby octopus.
Take a look at these cards. See the difference in the height of the coolers in relation to their mounting brackets?
That extra height on the KPE is what's blocking access to the screws.

The brackets of both cards are the same length (height?) as any other modern video card.

I know what you talk about.
I had same problem to screw card on place because I didn't had screwdriver with magnet...
Almost 5 min I try to hold screw with one finger and hit hole with screwdriver. But my case is made well when you lock card no way to move from place, almost like screws hold card... But finally after few minutes success to tight that... Sometimes I do that with fingers only but now I couldn't.

I have a 900d with kingpins running as we speak with both screws in the backplate. I wouldn't have wasted my time posting the original reply if I had no experience on the subject.

So just to be clear, kingpins on air still with both screws in on my 900d.
Yes it's super tricky, but yes it CAN be done.

And no I dont have tiny hands smile.gif
