Could really only 0.02 or 0.03 volts above 1.35V cut down the GPU lifetime? TY!

Probably not, but you could just decrease your OC by a step and stay at 1.35v or lower.

TiC vs KPE... well, it is the silicon lottery. I had 2 Ti classifieds and have 3 KPEs... outside of benching (where my KPEs happen to do better than the TiCs I had) the KPEs are generally faster in just about everything. I have one KPE that does well above1500 on water (with 1.375V on the evbot = 1.45V measured) but has the weaker ram of the three (at least with WCing). THe two other KPEs get to 1480 with a bit of sweat, while able to reach >2000 on the memory. 2 AISCs of 73% on is 62%.

You buy a ticket and hope it's a winner.

I agree 100%! No single card record for sure, or personal best, but, here's a screenie i just did. Valley 1080P (ext HD settings but windowed) and these clocks/volts have never fouled yet on anything. The KPE is a very fast card! (the png file is 12MB, jpeg <3mb !)

and F12 in valley:

While I don't like the expression 'silicone lottery' (some folks see it as acceptance / rejection by a higher power wth.gif ), there clearly is 'variance' which comes into play...over the years, I've played with three Quad-SLI/CF setups, and within each group there is always variance - as much as 100+ MHz within each 4x GPU group...and of course, I have yet to encounter a situation whereby the card w/ the fastest GPU also has the strongest VRAM....
