I think one card would run at -50 out of 4 tested.

Can you control the temps better with Ln2 (or even a dual evap phase for short runs) ? Any suggestions on where to look for a "how to" on insulating/prepping a Gk110 for ln2?
This is my first foray into sub zero cooling with RIVE. I have made arrangements with Airgas (and they are expensive unless they can put me on a milk run rolleyes.gif) for Ln2 delivery, and I have the dewar and the pot picked out, but before I jump off the deep end, I want to at least have an idea that it won't be a completely fruitless endeavor as far as gpu cooling goes.
thanks

Hopefully samsung memory doesn't let me down. My 780 ti classy hynix. Memory was game stable at 2000 mhz and benchmark stable at 2200 mhz

no i won't... thats right smile.gif
but 1250 are not the greatest clockers
Well have you increased volts and see how much they go up? Some cards need more voltage to really shine.
they can do 1400 as well with 1.4V
but i am looking for 24/7 settings and therefore the max is 1.212 - i don't want to setup the voltage manually after every boot

You can control pot temps much easier with LN2.

Dry ice you have virtually no control at all, you just have to hope that whatever you are cooling is capable of running around -70 or so.

Here are some good prep guides to review:

http://kingpincooling.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=9

Vaseline prep is probably the most common GPU method, eraser is also very effective and easy to use, especially when you're only looking at -40 to -60C If you're running colder eraser tends to spread the cold to the card's PCB more so than vaseline.

Didn't wanted to wait any longer to get the blocks for the 2 cards (just received the tracking number btw), so I decided to go without the backplate (since it would cover the switches) and ordered some M3*6 screw to try with the KingPin backplate, in hope it works cause I really like having a backplate (for aesthetic reason). No reason not to work as said in the Classy topic anyway. rolleyes.gif
In the mean time I'll have a look at Precision X, I'm used to MSI AB and it seems a little different. Also need to look on the voltage tool... smile.gif

Defiantly we can add catzilla to our form too that would be a new testing benchmark for the KPE un our thread too.
