Ya I will hold off and see what happens. I mean I didn't have delusions of grandeur, all I was expecting was maybe a boost step or two more than the Ti Classifieds under the same voltage, and decent memory speed. These cards were particularly marketed and designed with only Samsung memory, but to not be able to do over +150 on one of my cards is.
A BIOS may help with memory, but I don't think it will change the cores. One Kingpin does ok, about tied with my Classifieds, but one Kingpin actually does worse. It is definitely a great looking card and fun to work with, but the core binning and memory speeds just aren't there.
Some numbers I am dealing with:
Both cards are 66% ASIC
1.35v core with 600 KHz PWM
Remaining Ti Classified (77% ASIC-Hynix Memory) with above numbers completely artifact free-crash free in Heaven/Valley: 1424 core / 8500 Mem.
Kingpin #1 with above numbers completely artifact free-crash free in Heaven/Valley: 1424 core / 7500 Mem.
Kingpin #2 with above numbers completely artifact free-crash free in Heaven/Valley: 1398 core / 7300 Mem.
I know I am probably killing my chance to sell it on this forum but Kingpin #2 is a real dog and should be RMA'd or sold on Ebay or something lol. Kingpin name on something that performs this badly.
Temps are good on all the cards, maxing around ~40C. Look's like I am in the same position as Strong, 780Ti Classifieds ending up better.Edited by CallsignVega - 1/25/14 at 6:33am
