Once you go 50Inch HDTV you NEVER go back! - Page 2

Yes been using a Sharp 42" for years. I got rid of the desk set up entirely, I use wireless mouse and keyboard and sit on a Lay-Z-boy chair. We haven't paid for cable ever and use my PC/PS3 for watching stuff online. Then the wife has a 32" TV on a desk with her PC so if I am gaming she can still watch what ever she wants. Doubt I will ever buy another monitor ever again just seems pointless to me. I know they perform a bit better but I value price/size vs performance. The only thing I wish was that I had a true 120hz refresh rate but meh I do just fine without it.

For a TV its fine, i have a 50" TV and i love it for watching cable TV

For a computer monitor heck no, PPI is horrible and for a wired keyboard/mouse to reach you have to sit a couple feet away and it brings it out even more. 1080p should really not go much bigger then a 24" monitor for it to look as dense as i like.

Dude, I respect your preference and fussy about 24" monitor. I NEVER like to sitting close a 24inch Computer Monitor as 1-3 inch, everyday. lol. I am sooo happy with 60inch HDTV meanwhile reading easily, watching youtube, as 5-6 feet away as comforts, no more desk, wooot! its my Primary PC and gaming console, no regrets . I am glad gotta rid of the dinosaur PC Monitors. tongue.gif

I would say I still have a use for 32" to 40" tvs as I also like using them as monitors for pc gaming too. I have a 51" plasma tv but I wouldn't dare to play pc games on it.
