Now that I'm getting older, I find it incredibly harder to relax when playing "competitive" multiplayer games, although I don't get overworked. It's just a constant arms race and I just have to do whatever it takes to win, and sitting on a couch with a controller does not enable that. Of course, if you want to use a controller, hey more power to you, I just find it really frustrating when watching the killcam and seeing a player's off aim but having the aim assist drag their sights onto me, feels like getting stabbed in the heart, I die a little bit inside because if it wasn't for that, the other player would have been outplayed. It might just be that if feels strange seeing those actions on a PC having played on PS3 for so long. Going off on another tangent, that might also be why I'm extremely frustrated with dying from the Smart Pistol. I completely understand that going head to head with a Nub Pistol user, the non Smart Pistol user should win head-to-head 9/10 times and that is normally the case. I just find it frustrating getting locked on from behind or being completely hidden from their view, but because it's a Smart Pistol those markers lock onto me. I much rather of you shot me from behind with a real gun personally. Just feel like it takes the skill from the game, the actual aiming, with all you having to do is keep those relatively large crosshairs approximately on someone and wait a second or two for the partial lock-on for the kill. But it seems everyone's complaining about something, whether it's the Carbine, the shotgun, or the Smart Pistol these days. Personally the only thing I feel that truly is OP is the Smart Pistol, just reduce its damage to make it have to completely lock-on for the kill and make it so it can't lock onto people while they are cloacked.
Edit: Just read about your edit. The fact that you can maintain a 3.7 on a PC with a controller is remarkable, so you are obviously skilled (think my KD is right around there too, just depressed I haven't caught up to my 10 KD from the beta.) I understand the need for aim assist due to the inaccurate nature of the controller, just wish it was toned down a bit.

Hows everyone's ping usually? Mine is great, but a friend says he's constantly getting 100 - 150ms yet he's on the same datacenter. Weird

Anywhere from 20-70, so not terrible. What you should do is compare your ping in game to his then have you both do a speedtest over at Speedtest and see if they compare (using the same server of course.) My cousin was having similar issues with high ping, it just stopped one day, not sure what he did to remedy the situation.

Yea he doesn't believe me so I gotta take some screenshots for him lol. He says it's always been like that for him, so I don't know. I'm always around 35 - 45ms.

I'm glad they've rolled out the anti-cheat system biggrin.gif I've had some questionable deaths, but I just chock it up to them being incredibly fast and accurate lol. I don't immediately call anyone a hacker though, because every now and then I'll get a kill that seemed impossible for the circumstance as well hahaha. I imagine them in front of their PC calling me a hacker thumb.gif

My best pings start out around 140ms, but end up evening out around 90-100ms when the rounds start. (North and South central datacenters are about the same for me) It is high compared to other online games I have played. I'm usually around 50ms or lower on BF4. Hopefully they can do something to imporve it soon.

The aim assist is also present on keyboard and mouse, right? I've noticed it... and I bought this for PC so I could get away from the aim assist, and yet there it is. I'm starting to dislike this game a little more each time I play it.

It's already starting to get a little dull simply because there isn't a lot of modes, and then when you look at it on a PC standpoint, it's capped on FPS, aim assists no matter what you do, kinda ridiculous. Still fun while it's lasting though

I notice no aim assist on my end, just like playing any old shooter. And I agree it can get dull, wish they introduced/innovated some of the game modes. I think the best remedy to this situation is to have rentable servers so we could create communities around that, but because of no server browser and Respawn's deal with Microsoft to use Azure that is never going to happen.... Onto the capped FPS, that is apparently being fixed, not sure why it was even present on a PC game (especially one based on Source Engine) in the first place, but whatever, I should have known... I lost all trust from IW after MW2, why I gave them another chance is beyond me. (You can argue it's a different team all you want, it's pointless.)

No it's no present on M&KB. It's controller only.

So tired of how crappy origin is......I set titanfall to re-download last night as I just got a new PC it was at 75% done this morning. I stopped the download to play other games and when I went to start the download again before leaving for work it tried to start over from scratch. the titanfall data from previous download is still 75% there as I can see it taking up space on my SSD but origin still wants to start from scratch, and wont even start because the is no longer enough room. -_-

Steam would just carry on from where it left off. Heck it even will detect old files there and not re-download them. looks like no titanfall for me today.
