Ok.. dumb question... What is the big deal over 60FPS versus 70FPS?

I've played the game ... and it runs fine, no problems. Is it REALLY that big of a deal? (not trying to get flames here, but I'm honestly wondering if it degrades your gaming experience that much for all the concern over it....)

70 fps, meh, not much. But 120 fps? It makes a world of difference. It is incredibly smooth, but it is also a buffer from fps drops. Don't you hate it when your fps drops like 20%? It's not as bad when you game on 120 fps. Also keep in mind, the screen updates once everyone 16.67 ms with 60 fps. With 120 fps, that becomes once every 8.3 ms. Because of that, gameplay is smoother, aiming is more fluid, and you will out aim peasants gaming on their 60 hz monitor.

Sure 120hz is smoother and better for gaming but most of the time the bottleneck is the player and giving him a 120hz monitor won't turn him pro (though it will help improve).
Also, it's not like you will outplay most 60hz monitor. I know people playing CSGO with 75hz refresh rate who are Legendary Eagle and above.

In the end it all comes down to your own skill and as I said previously, the most common bottleneck is the player and not his screen.

PS: playing on 144hz

Check Occams post in the Titan forums he explains how to make it work more seamlessly.,

I am doing tri sli Titans on 3 1600p monitors. My main problem is at the resolution of 4800x 2560 Titanfall restricts to 1 GPU and when I use the hack to get it to 3 I see almost no increase in framerate.... It's killing me since I average between 45-60fps and changing the high/low settings on on the insanity textures does not make a difference. FYI it uses 4.2-5.6GB of memory

To get the overlay, turn off MSI / RTSS, open titanfall, start RTSS / MSI overlay problem solved 8-)

For me (say what you will) I get headaches if I play more than an hour of FPS games at 60Hz. The small boost in refresh rate/ framer ate (10Hz or 10FPS) makes a big difference to me. I don't notice as much micro-stutter which means my eyes can relax a little. FPS games just seems to play smoother. The lack of micro-stutter at 70Hz vs 60Hz could be placebo, but that doesn't explain my headaches and eyestrain going away.

Some day I'd love to game on a 144Hz monitor to feel the full effect if that's even what I'm feeling.

I might add that I have a slight astigmatism which adds strain to my eyes in any environment in which I need to concentrate on text or visual stimulus for long periods of time.

It is really a reference to console players saying all we need is 60 hz, which is simply not true. I just said monitor because that's what you should be using on PC, but I know that is not the case. Also, I'm still playing at 60 fps, just like you because crossfire doesn't work and if I uncap the framerate, I get horrible tearing and artifacting.
And to what Wolf said, of course it's the player and not the screen, but give a good player a higher refresh rate, oh my.

This game needs more game modes, only mode i'm playing at the moment is Hardpoint, CTF has become a real pain because you'll either end up on a team full of idiots playing the game like attrition capping the flag 0 times or the other way around, yawn.

Don't forget the individuals who feel the need to camp out their flag with a mini-nuke, aka satchel charge, hidden in the flag.

Hate those damn satchel charges lol, I prefer to lay arc mines all around the flag devil-smiley-019.gif
