Not really sure what it is about the sound in this game, but I just left it on stereo and I now run the game incredibly smoothly.

Hmm, that's interesting; I'm running it in 7.1 as well. Might trying changing that and see if it does anything.

Yea, I've been trying to figure it out, but I just can't seem to understand why that is. I run 90% of my games in 7.1 or 5.1 if they support it. But this is the first game that actually has a huge performance hit. If I figure out what it is, I will let you guys know. For now I'm going to settle for stereo and smoothness.

I mean, I understand there are MP only games, but from the E3 trailer, I honestly thought there was a single-player campaign. I can agree with the views of this article. For a small team, I understand why they wouldn't split the team up for the campaigns, but to beat the dead horse, $60 for a game was already a teeth grinding acceptance, but now $60 for a MP only game? Yes, games like Quake and CS are like this, but I know at least for CS games, they didn't MSRP at $50+. Hell, CS:GO MSRPs for $15, IIRC.

I'm probably a minority in this situation, but it's still a letdown for me, personally.

Some of the main reviews were criticizing it for just that. While it is MP only it has less modes than much older games that had both MP & SP. (halo 2 is what they mention) Though i paid 50$ for it so i'm not too distraught, but some of the critics are right. Seeing Total Biscuits video made me really want a MP campaign done right like he talked about brink. That sounded very very fun. The campaign is just hardpoint and attrition and i have no idea what's going on lol.

I have to agree with this conclusion from this review. It's a great game but it realistically should've launched at 40/50$ IMHO.

"The total lack of single-player capability is at odds with most other FPS games. If the likes of Call of Duty or Halo can provide both single- and multiplayer modes for the same price tag, it doesn't seem right that Titanfall can't. While Respawn and EA are cutting down on the price of development by foregoing single-player, those savings aren't being passed on to gamers, which is the concerning part of the game. At the very least, including an offline AI bot mode would seem to be a no-brainer, but it's not here for whatever reason. So, while Titanfall delivers amazing next-generation action, its next-generation business plan isn't nearly as impressive."

That said i think the Devs have expressed that they want to add some things in game that they didn't get to before launch so we'll have more content to come, just some free and some paid.

Oh i checked Titanfall for updates this morning and installed a small something i didn't see what it was named as but played one round just a second ago it's running fine now getting 90+ GPU usage and 100+fps no stutter.

This game's resolution settings are really starting to piss me off.
I have 1 resolution 1080P@71hz, and my other resolution 720P@77hz, I set the monitor to 720P 77hz before going in game, and for some damn reason the system keeps setting to 71hz.
WildStar and DoTA2 isn't doing this, and Really pissing me off.

edit: there's no freaking settings cfg file either.

Hey hey, for those wondering about the 60fps cap(or monitor refresh cap if you can maintain hz=fps), Vince has already said they're looking into patching it later.

Just his 2cents.gif

Meanwhile, in my sunny and tasty corner of the world(Spain), game unlocks the 13th and after reading the VPN clusterthing and EA's response, I'll just wait patiently for tomorrow night while being bombarded with work...

then I'll kick your asses with love and care jojn you at the party biggrin.gif

Have fun while I not, dawgs! wink.gifthumb.gif

No problems with resolution here, but the capped frame rate, having to use vysnc, and the fix not working for me, I'm already fed up. Played one match and low and behold, already hackers, should have seen it, followed everyone through walls, perfect aiming at the head, didn't even get mad, it was just too funny. My Origin ID is SourTyler if any of you guys wanna play later. Too many classes today.
