I was running prime95 (small fft) to test temps, I forgot to turn off windows screensaver before the test then when the screensaver wants to start (after10 menuts) the whole computer restarts!!
well my temp during the test just before the failure was 77c (far from TJmax ) amd room about 24c!
My system is i7 4779k @ 4.2 1.137vcore , evo 212 .
So what do you think guys is this failure just was because screensaver? did anybody face such problem before?
P.S my system was running for a sometime on this setting without and problems and has been tested before with IBT on very high and no problems.

While the screensaver is up, Prime95 will continue its test in the background as if nothing happened.  Depending on what kind of screensaver it is, it may double-stress your system by working the graphics as well.  Your system should handle this.  Since it didn't, that indicates instability somewhere.

Thanks for replying, the sceensaver was mystify under windows 8.1 64bit, I did run the same test gain but with the screensaver turned off and the test goes for long time without any errors with max temp 78c on 24c room temp, is that normal temp for that test or thats indicate that I need better cooler?
