So, seross69, are you saying windows 7 ultimate, which I have, is making this problem occur? or what exact software issue are we talking about here?

I do have coretemp, EVGA precision, skype, razer synapse, and fraps running at the same time. I mean, could this be the issue? Also, origin is open and what not.

I am not saying it is any one thing what I did say was to me it seemed like for some reason that a software or combination of software was using all the resources... I do not think it is going to be a hardware issue... now this is just my opinion but I have had software cause this various times in the past to me. I eventually would find the conflict and either resolve it or just reload everything... LOL I was just trying to point you in a direction not tell you what to do..

"LOL I was just trying to point you in a direction not tell you what to do."

I don't know why you are laughing. I was only asking a question since you mentioned that it could be a software issue, so I asked if maybe you knew what you were saying. Obviously, the word "software" was the best you could come up with, so I had no choice but to ask you what you meant by the typing software. I don't depend on people to do everything for me. I just wanted some guidance.....but yeah, I'll figure it out myself. Late.

Check The Windows Event Logs, Software and System tab, they may be able to provide you with some information as to why this may be happening, So when the computer freezes up, is it like a BSOD? Hard Freeze? Black Screen? ETC?

And here's an off-topic question, so I'm assuming that if the same person gives me a Rep two times, the second rep is a non-unique rep. Am I right?

Sorry I really don't mean this with any hostility but why would you press the windows key while you're gaming? I normally press alt+Tab if i want to switch windows maybe that can help? What keyboard are you using, I see you're using Razer Synapse, so I assume a Razer keyboard? If it is doesn't it have a gaming key to disable the windows key so you don't hit it accidentally.

It is a straight up freeze. Nothing moves on my screen. I can still continue talking on Skype, which is weird, but my keyboard (which is a corsair k70 to the aforementioned question above) and mouse lights still remain on, along with my monitor..I just can't press any key or move my mouse; therefore, I have to restart my computer. I press the windows key to go on the internet, or change a song on windows media player. I don't accidentally hit the key; I hit it on purpose. There is no BSOD or anything such as that, but when i restart my comp, it gives me that menu to start in safe mode or continue to windows.

first of all, when you are asking for help on OCN, filling out your rig builder so we can see what you are working with helps soooo much!

is your system overclocked at all?
