Success rate of flashing the X800GT

Thread Starter
i just want to know what is the success rate of flashing the bios of my x800GT to the gto..to unlock any potential pipes..its currently at 8..and mayb i can unlock an additional 4..but ive never done a bios flash or even worked with DOS...and from what i gather it can only be done through DOS..i also dont have a spare pci-e card to fix it if anything goes wrong..but im soo tempted..so how easy or hard is this to do for an Uber DOS n00b?..btw this is my exact card

This is an old thing and you would want to read up on it over at techpowerup it could give you knowledge in other areas but its kinda complicated. If your fuses match up you might get to 12 pipes but that was very slim chance on the GT series. A guy there named Dolf might be willing to make you a boot CD that would help you simplify the process if your fuses matched.
