well... i have done everything correct according to the manual, and it won't work.

I whack the Intel 32bit RAID drivers on the floppy, create the RAID in the boot rom, select the correct drivers whilst starting windows (when it asks for 3rd party drivers) and then when it says Starting Windows in BSOD's on me!

The code it gives is this: 0x0000007B (0XF78B2524 0XC0000034 0X00000000 0X00000000)

I would really appreciated any help!

Have you tried the other raid controller?

See if this thread helps: http://vip.asus.com/forum/view.aspx?...Language=en-us

I read that and it doesn't really help

Secondly, i can't even get to the JMicron RAID controller, i have done what it says in the booklet, and apparently i have to press "ctrl J" at startup to access it, but nowt all happens.

That could be because it could be disabled in the BIOS for your other RAID controller, go check it out.

okay.. say i dont install Windows on the RAID but instead, just install applications and games (E.g. BF2), will i get better performance, or must i have Windows installed on the RAID to see performance increases in things such as BF2?
You wont get better performance just by reinstalling your programs. You get performance boosts from better hard drives, and more still from RAID configurations such as RAID 0

I mean if i uninstall them from my old SATA 1 drive and reinstall them on my SATA 2 RAID0 Drive, whilst keeping Windows on my SATA 1 drive?
You may get a small performance increase but not much. You could try keeping the programs on your old hd and moving your Page file to your new HD.

So to see a decent performance increase, i need to have both the OS and the apps installed on the SATA300 drive? I was going to use my SATA150 for storing movies, music etc...

Looks like i will need to start fiddling about a bit. Do you know if you can get updated Intel ICH8 32bit drivers? It might be that causing the BSOD. I tried looking on the net but to no avail. Anyone else find any?
