Hello everyone! I am wondering i know that the Avermedia live portable can capture PC, but i know the elgato has better recording software. I want to know if the Elgato can record PC gameplay since i don't like losing frames when recording a game. I am also going to be using this to record ps3/xbox360/xbox one and the wii u, i know the Avermedia doesnt record PS3 with HDMI. I just want to know if the Elgato can record PC gameplay with sound and voice commentary well, thanks!

Yes, you can record your PC through the Elgato, just keep in mind you'd need a second monitor. I've seen people start recording and then they try to play through the recording window.. This doesn't work as the output back to their software has a 1 second delay. I'd recommend the Elgato even though I've never used either myself, but the Elgato seems to be way more popular in the twitch community.

Ahh, thanks for the reply! Yeah, i ended up getting the elgato a few days ago, i am recording PC gameplay at 1080p (or i) but it's really great being able to record without losing any frames biggrin.gif Got 3 monitors which makes this even more convenient! Awesome stuff!
