How to search DFI-street for mobo support

Thread Starter
This might be preaching to the converted, but anyway for those that don't know, here's a way to still get answers to your niggling DFI mobo problem by searching the already huge DFI-street problem support base (Note: This does not allow you to post new replies or threads, the site is currently down)

A mod might want to sticky this as I imagine there's going to be a flood of usual DFI-street users (like myself) posting their mobo problems here as they believe they can't get access to the support database on the street.

Now this is just a quick fix and i'd still recommend any avid DFI users to go here and email ALL of the email addresses with a plea to get the site back up. The site might only be down for a couple of hours/days, but it also might not be up again for a few months/years... nobody knows. Also if DFI does set up a new support website, you can be guaranteed it won't use the support base of the threads that have already built up on the street.

This fix only works because Googles web crawlers store a cache of every website/page they visit, these caches will usually stay searchable for up to 6 months or more.

Go to google.com and click on advanced search on the right:

On the next screen fill out one of the boxes at the top with your mobo problem you want to search for (a common search might be the DFI BIOS CD by Tmod)

Next look further down the page and set the domain drop down box to "only" then input the DFI-street URL in the adjacent box, press enter or click on search

Now this is the important bit, when the list of search results come up DO NOT click on the header link, look below it and click on the "Cached" link. This will bring you to the google cache of that page.

Here is the Tmods BIOS download page:
Tmods DFI BIOS CD

Another simpler way of doing this if you don't like clicking on links is to write this into the google search box: <search criteria> site:www.dfi-street.com

I'd be happy to assist anyone with setting up MBM5 on DFI NF2/3/4 mobos if they have problems.
I can be reached via PM or at soundx98 AT gmail DOT com
But unfortunately many boards using newer sensors may not be read correctly.
I am not sure if I will ever be able to modify it to read the latest sensors.

I've had a chance to work with VVJ (Vitaliy Jungle, the CBID guy) and he has a great little program that can be used on a lot of motherboards.
His latest version has just been released (1/5/2007), it works great.
It's even optimized for the DFI LanParty NF4 and LanParty NF590 AM2 boards as well as others.
Select control on bottom menu and use the drop down selection.
Highly recommended
