Sadly I don't have another 939 socket cpu, i am kinda leaning to that being the problem, I think something isn't setup right for my proc, because it doesn't go past 4 led's and 3 leds mean that the CPU is detected. I am currently in the BIOS right now and I need to know some numbers

What should I set my LDT/FSB frequency to? it has a 1 to 5 multiple
what about LDT bus transfer width? right now it is at down16 up 16.

Those are the only two settings that I don't know what to do with. Any of you who have a list settings I might want to try feel free to post it, thanks guys

Jacob

WOW, I think I fixed it! I was able to reboot after I adjusted the BIOS! Hopefully this fixed it.

Alright, I will try 16 up,down soon, right now it is on 8 up down. I just tried to overclock my extreme card and I was able to get up to 430 core and I didn't do the RAM it was getting to hot for my liking, so I have some improvments on cooling for that card. Ohh yeah, I just don't get it! I got worse temps from removing the IHS and lapping! , In my BIOS I saw 36C for the core and I thought wow I did a great job, but I few mins ago I just checked it and it said that I had 50C! for the core! I wonder if my core it means my card? I sure hope so, cause if that is what it is I am about the throw with big typhoon out the window and then I am going to use my ninja rev.b that is sitting in its box. Ohh yeah, what temp is my chipset so I can label it? I can't overclock anything right now until I figure out which temps are what, ohh yeah, I have to configure my other 3 sticks of RAM with the stuff I already have in it. Ahh it's going to be massive headaches!

thanks guys for sticking with me!

I would leave it at 8 until you verify the cpu...most of the 3400's I have seen only have a 1600mhz Hypertransport bus...

4 sticks of ram may give you headaches....(runs in 2T)

for the chipset cooler get a vc-re and rub it lightly with 400grit paper then buff it a little with scotch-brite and clean it with alcohol and put it on with your favorite TIM...this seems to work better than a mirror finish...My chipset temps havent been above 34c even with prime fully loaded

No, not the chipset, the cpu cooler, sorry I wasn't specific enough. Yeah, she just aint cooling like I would like her to, mabye I don't have it tight enough, but I am afraid I am going to damage the core because my proc is naked! I am going to try a redneck mounting way when windows finishes updating. I am going to use the mobo's stock plate on the back, but just use the screws a little different. As far as the chipset cooler, I think I will lap it also, it isn't running the coolest either. Yeah, I know, I already have a bottle of advil ready for tomorrow when I try to get all 4 sticks working together. jk
