Well I had a good crack at this yesterday , got to the final boss (I think)

Actually enjoyed the game more when I started playing it to kill everyone rather than hide from them

Playing the game like a sneaky archer from skyrim >>>> hiding in shadows (yes there are shadows to hide in)

Will probably finish this tonight

Is that your answer to a Zelda game without a lantern? Because you have one in Dark Souls. -_-

If you never found a skull lantern or sunlight maggot in Dark Souls, I feel sorry for you.

You dont need a lantern in Tomb of Giants, if you do, I feel sorry for you.

The majority of places in DS are darker than 99% of the areas in Thief 4.

Lol ok buddy. Given that you thought my screenshot was not how dark the game really looks, and you think you don't need a lantern for tomb of the giants (depths etc) the gamma on your screen is clearly screwed.

Technically you don't, but that's due to the glowing orbs they placed on the ground as guides if you were unfortunate enough to miss getting a lantern/sun maggot. But something tells me even without those you'd say you didn't need one because your screen is already so bright that you can see clearly. My point is, even in a game that is as unforgiving as Dark Souls, even its developers acknowledged they need to let people see more.

Fix your monitors, then complain about the game not being dark enough.

I'd love to see one of your screenshots that proves how "bright" the game is.

Sad... seriously, you're the saddest person on this very site, or perhaps even the whole of WWW.

My first playthrough of Dark Souls, I had no maggot helm or lantern.
I went through the tombs without any problem, I fell down a couple times, but no issues. You always know where to go, its logical: Forwards. You also see the skellies, because glowing eyes. The big ones and the dog skellies dont attack you until youre ridiculously close to them, because they, too, are affected by the "darkness" its an easy place to go through once you're at the bonfire, which you get to within roughly a minute. Unless you got ADD and need to rush through everything.

You need a lantern for depths? Major facepalm and sadness inflicted upon myself. Critical hit of 3.

You're Defending Thief 4 to death and now you claim my monitor is bad... face reality, Thief 4 is bright as day. Its like saying Tehran map in BF3 or Dawnwhatever in BF4 are dark maps... seriously?

You clearly need this.

Funny considering nobody else has complained about the darkness in the game, and where is that screenshot I asked you for buddy. I showed you mine, now show me yours. wink.gif

Also nice of you to not quote the part of my post which says I knew you'd say you didn't need one, lol.

I guess I'm just glad you aren't heading to the lead position of a dev team anytime soon. I'd hate to play your game:

I thought the mantle drivers made the game a bit brighter. There clearly are shadows in the game , that you can hide in. Stay still and nobody can see you , move and the guards notice.

Think the Hamtza boy up there needs to see an optician

The stealth in this game was fine as was everything else
