new scores are much nicer! using ATITool 0.26, clean boot, oooh i did find one prob my ram was in the inccorect slots for this mobo, so they were being cloked down a lil.

what doyou guys think?

still havent had any luck ocing my cpu yet (still learning, so getting an even remotely stable OC is hard. But i did manage to OC my x1950xtx to 695.25/1134.00

With the graphics card...I'd say Rivatuner worked the best for me! But those scores are great though!

Thanks guys im really happy with it now, i think i did discover one major issue was the memory was being underclocked by the mobo to 233mhz instead of 400mhz, as well as some settings in the bios that were default but CRAP, right now every thing is set to auto, and i used the ATItool to push the card up a few notches, acctually i got another 300 this morning from it, i made a second post. Finding these lil issues with my machine is making me want to break into OCing even more, God knows i have the gear for it (Full koolance Exos2 system with CPU, Memory, HD, and Vid coolers) that pretty much went to waste before (used them to quiet down my case as it was a small room and i hated listening to it all the time haha)

anyway thanks again guys!

Edit: yea i puched it out to 6496 still with no artifacts in the image!

Memory is set to run in Dual Channel 233mhz is really 466mhz going both ways. So be careful which setting you mess with, you could seriously overclock your card and burn it out.

well acctually the problem was i had them in side by side slots (slot 1 and 2) which put them in single channel mode, at 233, putting them in dual channel mode for the mobo brought them up to 400mhz (appropriate setting)

Dual Channel doesn't mean they run twice as fast, just means the data-channel width is doubled from 64-bits to 128-bits.

What you probably had was a divider on your RAM - put the RAM in slots 1 and 3, set Command per Clock to Enabled (1T) and set your RAM's divider on 1:1

no i had them in slot 1 and 2, and the mobo was misregistering them as 233 mhz single channel memory sticks, by moving them to 1/3 the system registered them correctly
(i havent begun to over clock that stuff yet)
