I just shipped out my P5W to its new owner today. I will have the P5B for a while, at least.

I have to agree with you.

Beat this: I had a 3 to molex pin converter, where you plug the PSU molex into the converter and plug the fan into the 3 pin end of the converter. I had the thing plugged into the PSU without the fan connected to the 3-pin end (male) of the converter. I got curious and touched the 3 pins to the INSIDE of my case. I heard and saw a huge spark. My HDD spun up and i was scared something just fried. Nothing did thankfully lol

(i'll never do something so stupid again).

My system is completely stable. However, every single time I cold start the system, it does not boot the first time. The monitor just stays in its idle mode. Sometimes when I shut it off and restart the system it will boot perfectly, sometimes it will give me a BIOS failure message (flash needed), other times it fail to even post. Restart it again, and it always works.... Very annoying.

Not sure if this will help but check over your power connections, esp try reconnecting your MB power connector. I had a similar problem on an old mobo once, and I removed/cleaned/reinstalled the PSU and the problem vanished.

Restarted the computer after running stable for 24 hours. Did not boot. All other methods that had allowed it to boot previously failed. Additional measures failed. Contacting ASUS.
