New Setup - First try at watercooling NEED HELP! - Page 3

Thread Starter
thanks man, you are really a big help

after reading some more and pulling some more info from the forum (did a search on p180) I noticed I would also need to buy a new case as with my current 5-6 hd setup, there would be no room for the pump and what not...

what I think I'm going to do is keep reading some more and start the install over here with a big typhoon and lap the thing... see what it can do... then play around some more and pick the cpu out of the 8 I have that is the biggest overclocker... then when I have a bit more time at my hands here (and my home computer rebuilt and running) I'll order in a new case and mod it specially for it so that I can aim at having it all inside and just sound proof the thing as much as I can... water cooling sounds like fun and I wanna take the time to do it right rather than just throw a few things together and not think it over...

will also leave me ample time to reach fstfrddy for the stinger

Thats the way to do it.......Just keep reading and learning till you get the jist of it....It's really pretty easy after you do it a time or two...The main thing is to take you time and don't rush setting up your loop....Its a great way to cool and it is also a really enjoyable hobby....

I have a tai chi case and running same board as you evga 680i with x6800 cpu
d/d maze 5 on my gpu (just crappy 7600gs for now)
d/d tdc on the cpu
tygon 1/2 tubing
d/d black ice extreme ii (need low profile 40cm as it is on the door) radiator

bullseye reservoir from arctic mod, can also get the cpu block from their recommend them

d/d d5 12v pump
running pc ice coolant
2nd reservoir from modersmart.com just for ease of filling to the T line (since the fill is in the front)

fans are scyth liquid cooled

here are a couple of picts
