Hello everyone, I've been thinking of upgrading my system with a new motherboard and CPU. My specs are in the sig rig.
My main question is, with 2 760's in SLI, will it make a difference whether I get an i5 4670k or i7 4770k?
Honestly I think it would be a waste of money at this time to upgrade, I say this because I have the i7-950 OC to 4gz with a GTX 770 and thinking about upgrading to GTX 780. Your CPU should be fine in handling 2 GTX 760s... your overall increase woldn't justify spending $400-$500. I would hold up until later this year and see what they are doing about there new processors... I know people will say never wait and just buy what you can now because technology changes but you have a pretty solid rig that can go toe to toe with curent CPUs.

Haswell and Haswell-E are two different price brackets. Why would you tell someone to wait until Haswell-E? Do you know how much a Haswell-E processor, X99 motherboard and DDR4 are going to cost?
i7's always rule the gaming charts, with more and more games taking advantage of everything a chip has to offer the 4770k would not be a bad choice by any means.
There is ALWAYS something new or nicer on the horizon, this is the tech industry and it moves fast.
A 4770k will not disappoint and it will push 2 large GPU's better then a straight 4 core, should you game at a higher rezz someday.
Not to say you need to, thats a damn nice monitor ya got.
