I have been considering water cooling for my setup. I have looked and checked everywhere for all sorts of things.. and well.. I am NOT impressed 100% by any one companies "Kit" type deals.

So I have decided that I can take the parts I like, and make what works for me and my needs.

These are my wants..

IF POSSIBLE.. 1 Loop that goes to my CPU, then to my Northbridge.. then to the radiator, and res..back to pump #1 and starts again..and a second loop that will go to my Video then off the radiator and then resovoir.

Basically a Y after the res, that feeds two pumps.. then a Y before the radiator that joins the seperated loops again. My reasons are that the lower I keep the liquid temps, the lower my system will be. Unless I am truly offbase.. it will be flowing first to a OC E6400 CPU.. then to a hot 680i northbridge.. then to two seperate 7900GTX's.. and back to a radiator. Will a radiator cool that much heat efficiently on a single loop? whereas dual loops would spread the heat across seperate lines and not get too hot on either. Just an opinion..

the parts I wished to use.. PLEASE PELASE comment on the plan and equipment, I havent purchased anything yet.

2 X Laing Pumps 1/2 Fittings (DangerDen D5's)
Dangerden TDX Block for CPU
DangerDen DD-680i Block for Northbridge
2 X DangerDen Koosah Blocks for 7900GTX in SLI
BlackIce Extreme radiator with dual 120mm Fans Mounted external
Double 5 1/4" Resevoir Doubel height for more volume
various fittings, 1/2: tubing and Fillports.

will the radiator cool that rig?

keep in mind I run 53C at 100% under TAT currently at 3.1Ghz on an E6400. I am looking to drop it a good bit.. like maybe 5-10C.. thats why I am thinking of dual loops.

ok.. the noob is done now, flame away! lol

I would put that all in one loop...Forget the NB, put some good air on it...The only guy I've seen with issues over NB temp's was on phase with a massive OC....Nice bunch of parts you have picked..I would just use 1 Laing D-5 instead of 2..You may want to get a CPU block from fstfrddy here on the Forum, he makes some killer ones....Stinger WB

For the rad I would go with a GTS 360, it a newer rad with better heat dissapation then the older BIXll would have.....This is a 240 in the link but they have the 360 there I would go for it....Danger Den :: Radiators :: Black Ice Series :: GTS Stealth Radiator :: Stealth GTS 240 Black Ice

I considered makeing my own part by part, but it turned out I was going to spend like $400. Screw that, I'd just go with phase if I'm gonna spend that much.

ahh great! thanks.

I was afraid I would not get enough cooling.

I have a 680i chipset and the northbridge gets really hot. It has a heatsink.. and a heatpipe already, and a fan! lol and it is still hot. Thats why i am considering the water for it as well

Holy Crap that stinger looks awesome! love the machine work and the allen heads.. I really appreciate quality workmanship like that!.. Thats a definate buy for the project!

I need to take the hole to hole measurements on the bolt pattern.

Damn, that stinger waterblock is simply amazing.. I betcha if I had the pin to pin info he could MAKE me one for the northbridge.. just adjust his jig a little bit

it's a hot enough chip that dangerden has made one exclusive for it.. lol

I checked the swifttech, I dont see any 775 Socket MB's listed. Not sure the bolt pattern would work or not

People have asked him about that before and he says he just doesn't have the time to do it...Go ahead and ask though he might do it....He is coming out with a new one called the V-8, it has a double out on it....I think I'm second in line to get one I think...Get with him as soon as you can because he does have a waiting list....I got my V-6 in about 3 weeks...You wont regret getting one, there pretty but the cool very well to....EDIT: DD makes them for my board to but it doesn't get that hot...If you do get one for it don't get the Swiftech one...They say the footprint on it is so small it barely cools it...

If your still thinking about kit.. The Swiftech H20-220-APEX ULTRA CPU (http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/swh2edukit.html) is amazing for the price... You can always add the GPU block. My presy is running at 32deg. nice kit.

PS. Not to jack your post how much are those stingers?

$65 for the standard and ~$120 (or so) for the brass one. They are the same block, the brass one just looks pretty. I got a standard because I don't care about asthetics that much, but you should know, those brass topped ones look stunning. He should be shipping my stinger any day now
