Connecting my laptop to my LCD tv

I tried connecting my laptop and Tv through an S video cable and nothing happened and was wondering if I need a program or something to get my laptop to display on the tv.

Its usually a command such as fcn+f4. What type of laptop do you have?

You have to go into your display options to clone or extend your desktop on to the TV.

probaly not what kind og GFX card is in you laptop you might have to enable it using 1. if nvida in the nvidia control panel or 2. ati using the ati tool...

My laptop is a Compaq Presario V2000 and the video card is a Radeon X200

hmm did you try to enable it?
and also go to your desktop and right click and go to properties and go to dispaly setting s and see if you can have dual monitors capable
