Major Problems with Crossfire...Can't Play Games!!! - Page 2

Sorry I missed this--I was buried in my problems LOL.

I have a different CF setup entirely--but it is not exactly bug free. I have not tried Vsync. The only game I have in the House is Half Life 2.

Is it possible to change the order of the cards in the slots on the mobo? Would that make a diference? If not how about changingth power leads just to see if maybe there is a power issue to one of the cards--they are thirsty.

This is my first foray into the Crossfire thinger and so far It's been realtively painless. However I do have something like a distorted image during certain 3D benchmarks. Not sure what that is attributed to--I am running 6.14 Drivers off the MFR CD. I tried the others and so far nothing great to report.

Have you been overclocking the cards at all? I know when I was OCing a card or two a ways back I went a little too far and they were never the same. I wish i was more help. I will see what i can find out.

Try putting the cards into different slots ..Who knows Also make sure you are doing this procedure when installing drivers :

Installing Graphic card driver efficiently!!! When you Update your graphics cards drivers theres ways that you should go about it. Follow these simple steps below.

1.Download and install ''Driver Cleaner'' Here:
http://www.drivercleaner.net/professional.html
2.Uninstall your Current Display drivers such as your ''ATI'' or ''Nvidia'' drivers.
3.Now run ''Driver cleaner'' and depending on the Drivers you have you will have to select either ''ATI'' or ''Nvidia'' from the drop down menu. Only select the main title of the driver in the drop down such as just ''ATI'' or ''Nvidia''
4.Once you have selected Your driver click on the ''Start'' button and this will now start the driver cleaning process. ( Do this twice to be sure )
5.Now reboot your system and Download the latest Nvidia or ATI and go ahead and install them.

Doing this avoids driver corruption and conflicts so you can now enjoy smooth gameplay.

w/ Crossfire on these, you cannot change the order. Unfortunately.

These cards are on stock speeds, and soemtimes when running 3DMark06, when the HDR kicks in the Ship game, the screen would go crazy white. Don't know what it is. Guess it's time for a new MOBO!?!?

Enterprise, thanks, but I know that process like the back of my hand..LOL..I once reinstalled drivers 7 times (different drivers) in about 4hrs to test to see which got better scores on 3DMark06 during a benching contest...

It could be your mobo. I was gonna buy one but then I found out about the issues with it. I like my A8R32-MVP but I'm having issues hitting 320x9 with it. Ask away about my mobo if you're gonna buy one. Don't mind being of service.

Driver, I have driver issues and whenever the water reflected light on the 06 HDR test the entire screen would go *** WHITE PINK LSD craziness. That was on the 6.12. A driver/OS reinstall fixed it.

I think you really need to try the cards one at a time and see if either is going crazy by itself.

Anyone know whats going on?
Did you turn on triple buffering to compensate? Vsync needs triple buffering, or it can't keep up.
