P5W Deluxe or P5B Deluxe?

Thread Starter
So I bought my Tuniq Tower 120 (it hasnt gotten here i just ordered it yesterday) but I am wondering if it will warp or strain my mobo it since its SO BIG.

With either of the asus P5W or the P5B Deluxe mobo's (im still trying to decide which one to buy) is this something i need to worry about?

If i need to support it anyone got any pointers?

Don't worry about it. That's what the bracket is for, but if you don't feel comfortable? Do a little mod, get a piece of wood use it as a stand for the TT120.

Meaning: A pieced that is just as long as where the tip of the end of the TT120 is down to where the bottom of the case is. Someone at another forum came up with that idea but I cannot recall which forum and he had the picture as well but I didn't bother to save any of that because I've been using a TT120 in this P5B since August and I use the same TT120 on a P5WD2-P for 3 months and the board was fine.

I would suggest doing what nasgul said, but there wont really be any need for it. It will be fine. Also i recommend the p5b deluxe

After using both boards, I must say, I highly recommend the P5W.

i know that the tuniq and the asus boards are popular so i wasnt TOO worried but i am glad to hear confirmation that they are fine.. ive also heard of people using hangers to suspend it from the top of the case. I will have to wait and see how i feel once i get it installed but if its not necessary i wont add any supports.

lol i keep reading ppl say get the p5b and there are those that say the p5w.. currently im looking at buying the ASUS P5W DH DELUXE/WIFI-AP LGA 775 Intel 975X ATX Intel Motherboard..

Thanks for the info!

P5W DH Deluxe or even the Bad Axe 2 are the right choice. I say go with the Bad Axe 2, better Vdroop, and much better memory bandwidth. The Bad Axe wasn't so great because you had to extensively modify it to get much out of the poor BIOS options. Bad Axe 2 had a fully unlocked BIOS.
