That's not too bad. Will have to play around with it at the end of this week. Seems like after 3-4 days of uptime something becomes unstable in my system. Fixed that with a automated daily re-start.

I was kidding, Doc and I are buds. Working on passing him soon in team rank if he doesnt fire up a gpu or 2.

And whats the best project for a GTX 780 to crunch on? Ive been doing primegrid (Proth Prime Search (Sieve))

I am sat in the unfortunate position of not wanting to do any projects as none of them really appeal. Dirt has good PPD and help to build rainbow tables that will be used to test security. Increased security, generally, is a good thing. If I find a project that tickles the taste buds I will swap something over to it.

Not sure why I felt the need to post that^^ But my 2cents.gif

Looking like I will break 50m points in under 8 weeks. Which is insane all things considered.

I was just checking out PRIMEGrid. I see you need to check preferences for the types of apps needed. Does the project choose what is best for your computer or is there individual host preferences? I mean if I check off AVX for a particular subproject, genefer for instance...thats not going run on my Q9550 nor my FX-8120 but SSE3 will. AVX will run on Sandys and up. I guess I just answered my own question, reading on, it looks like you can only check one, so you would need to chose the lowest common denominator or chose different subprojects to run for each type of CPU.

Most projects have at least four profile/location options you can set for different computers (work/school/home/default) so you can set different options for each and tell each system to use that profile (which is all done through the projects account/hosts web page)

If you're logged in, this should take you to your hosts page, where you can set the location for each system.

And then on the preference page you can set the different settings for each location

Oh hey! That's a great idea! You're pretty smart!biggrin.gif I can separate the old and new computers that way, or break it down by host.

Yup, that's how you restrict who does what on whatever project...
