Why are you using a car amp anyway - don't wanna be poncy but you'll get much better quality from a normal hifi seperates system.

If you have a UPS remove the 7 amp/hour battery, extend the battery power wires so they will reach outside the UPS a couple of feet, and connect them to a 1000 amp/hour automotive battery. The battery charger in the UPS will add the proper charge to the battery when a good load is pulled from it. Plus, you will never have to worry about how long your battery will last during a power outage, unless it`s more than 12 hours.
