I personally don't have my 4770k overclocked... because I don't really need it to be. It just adds extra heat and stress for no tangible benefit.

The most demanding thing I do is BF4 and that runs perfect and stock with boost on. I can understand overclocking an older chip, but the 4770k pretty much runs everything now.

But, check your memory is running at the correct speeds, timings etc...
