edit: set the power limit to max - 50%. watch your temps on the core and vrms. don't let them go higher than 80C (my standard).

on tried 13.11 beta

same scores

no backround program running, gpu max temp 60C---vrm 1 max temp 61C vrm2 max temp 44C

guess this card is faulty

Are you monitoring usage and clock fluctuation with hwinfo or gpu z?

yes

i also have reference 290 , if there was a problem the reference should score the same.

Too bad this card has the best cooling on the market, i dont want to return it but i m gonna,
its already packed

and it was overclocking like a champ too 1250-1800

very sad to return this

by the way if it helps to some considering this card;

on stock it maxes out 61C @ valley 66C on furmark:D 69C @1250 mhz (a bit noisy though)

fantastic but my luck:mad:

I have elpida but it clocks to 1675. It's all luck, though I suppose there's a reason folks prefer Hynix. Btw gpu z will show what kind of memory.

Just ran 3dmark11 at stock 1040/1350, graphics score is 14974, same as DA77.

Checked the 3dmark Fire Strike scores also, vs reference. Here are charts that shows the graphics sub score of a reference 290:
CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0 (using IJG JPEG v80), quality = 90CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0 (using IJG JPEG v80), quality = 90
http://www.legitreviews.com/nvidia-geforce-gtx-780-ti-video-card-review_128012/8

For reference Fire Strike is 10019, I get 10949.

For reference Fire Strike Extreme is 4676, I get 5080.

So, everything right where it should be.

I did note before though, at the same clocks, my 290 Tri-X benches significantly faster than this Powercolor PCS+. I have no clue what governs the speed of a card, at the same clocks. I assumed it'd be the same, clock for clock. But that's not what I'm seeing. The Tri-X draws a lot more power and benches faster.

I did notice something interesting,
i ve 2 old 7950 s checked them in the same system as 290s:)

asus dcu ii 7950 , sapphire 7950 dualX (the lastest crappy one)

@ the same clocks asus scores %5-7 faster than sapphire!! WTH

same phenomenon with 290S

what is going on ? any suggestions. Is it the mobo , ram, cpu? SSD???
